| The Founders |
|
In the 1980s and 1990s, a number of young and
ambitious students from diverse backgrounds graduated
from Ivy League and other top colleges in the
United States and Europe to embark upon fast-paced
careers that took them to positions of leadership
in the investment banking, private equity, hedge
funds and entrepreneurship.
Based on the foundation
of their friendships at Dartmouth, Wharton, Columbia,
and Harvard, as well as strong personal and professional
relationships developed during their tenure at
highly regarded firms such as JP Morgan, Salomon
Brothers, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, Microsoft,
and Ernst & Young, they formed an international
network of young professionals who shared a passion
for teaching and coaching others.

Besides
Switzerland, the Institute expanded operations in
its London and Boston offices and launched additional
programs in financial centers in North America
and Europe. Soon the training programs were attracting
ambitious students from over 25 nations and 50
top-tier universities. The founders’ knowledge
as successful entrepreneurs and investment banking
executives, as well as their desire to innovate
the corporate finance and business education industry,
have been key sources of success for Swiss Finance
Institute.
