We offer
the following program:

| Investment Banking Training
Program |
|
Specifically
tailored to meet the needs of students and professionals
interested in careers in investment banking, corporate
finance, institutional sales, trading, wealth management,
hedge funds and private equity. Designed also for students
who want a solid grounding in fundamental business knowledge
and skills; students who wish to become entrepreneurs,
business managers and leaders in the future are well suited
to apply.
- Taught by professionals
who have tremendous transaction experience and by
faculty members who have ‘been in the trenches’
and emerged as winners.
- Students acquire an in-depth
knowledge of topics such as investment banking activities
and capital markets, basic and advanced financial
modeling, corporate valuation and alternative investments.
- In addition to practical
lessons in interviewing and resume writing, students
will have the opportunity to apply their classroom
knowledge to ‘real world’ activities such
as trading simulations, capital market research presentations,
IPO, M&A, LBO and Restructuring Simulations, pitch
books and various case studies.
- No prior business or
finance coursework is required or expected of applicants;
applicants must be motivated and have a strong work
ethic
- Students develop a solid
understanding of business fundamentals such as finance;
strategy, marketing and operations; building missions
and teams; and developing, financing and pitching
a business plan.
- Students engage themselves
in practical applications such as our business plan
competition and corporate strategy simulations, and
also attend group training sessions to develop essential
job search skills including interviewing and resume
writing.

Who Is
Eligible to Apply?
Swiss Finance Institute seeks
to admit mature, highly qualified students from all
academic disciplines and from any class year; graduate
students including MBAs are also welcome to apply. We
especially encourage a diversity of majors; more than
half of our program participants have come from ‘liberal
arts’ and sciences backgrounds.
